Community participation needed for a Clean Energy Task Force
The Canadice Town Board began their regular meeting Monday August 14, 2023 at 6:45 pm. The earlier start time for the Town Board meeting included a presentation from NYS Clean Energy Communities (CEC) and Climate Smart Communities (CSC). We are pleased to understand that several of our current and previous projects such as equipping the Town Hall with a geothermal heating and cooling system and several highway projects are eligible for points and eventually the potential of funding through these two agencies.
The next step is for the Town to establish a Clean Energy Task Force that will include residents and other Town stakeholders. If you are interested in joining the effort to build a clean energy future in for the Town of Canadice, please contact Christopher Vastola, Town Supervisor at your earliest opportunity. October 2023 is planned for launch of the Task Force.
supervisor@canadice.org 585-367-2050 ext 1
The task force will be provided with support from CEC and CSC regional managers to explore emerging clean energy technologies for the Town and opportunities for residents to incorporate clean energy into their daily lives, homes, and businesses.
